My mother keeps sending me facebook messages that I can’t bring myself to read.

I made it so only friends could send me messages.

I feel like a terrible person.

Noooooooooooo you are not a terrible person! She really should be giving you space at this point. You’ve given her so many chances, and from everything you’ve written it seems clear that she’s messed them all up, over and over. You are way more than validated in blocking those damn messages without a twinge of remorse.

Again, I know you already know this rationally, but on the off-chance that hearing it helps in the slightest, have some virtual support and encouragement.

Also, congratulations on making it to your new place!!!
